The three top selling Flip Cameras out there- Flip Ultra, Flip Mino and Flip Mino HD are jam packed all over the internet with reviews. All three of these camcorders are very good in their own ways and I’ve tested each one out personally. I have had very personal experiences with all of these camcorders and I use them every day, whether I was to record traveling moments or just something at home. Flip Ultra: This was the first flip camcorder I bought. It was on a good deal at amazon.com. I still use it today very thoroughly for all my recordings. It has a huge battery life. I can record for about 4 hours without having to change the battery. And it only does require two AA batteries-highly convenient. Once you learn all the features of it, recoding can be so easy and helpful. There are only like 5 buttons that you need to learn to use and then you are ready to go. The plus points are that it is highly portable and you can keep it anywhere. Although it is not as sleek as the Mino, it is still very skinny to keep in pockets and purses. The zoom is not highly amazing but it will do for on the go recordings. You can also choose from 30 minutes, 60 minutes, and 120 minutes. Flip Mino: This was also a really good buy. It is sleek (40% sleeker than the Ultra) and it also fits right into your pocket with no hassle at all. It comes with more zoom capability and you can charge from your computer instead having to change the battery. With many of the same amazing features of the Ultra and many more the Flip Mino is definitely back with a bang! Flip Mino HD: A few months after I purchased the Mino the commercials about Mino Hd were well underway. I decided to upgrade to that also. It records in high definition (1080p) but there is really no significant difference between the Mino and Mino HD. It has all the same features as the ultra and the Mino except that it saves in mp4 format. It is very easy to edit with any software, so I say go for it. But remember- if you are more about YouTube that but the Mino Hd but if you’re shooting for fun my recommendation is stick with Flip Mino. All three also come with much enhanced software called the Flip Share software. It is very good for editing and sending videos. You can upload a video straight to YouTube and MySpace. Again each of the three models has the same features but a few enhancements here and there. First you should decide what you are using it for and then chose the appropriate version. But any version of the flip you choose, you will fall in love with it, guaranteed- no doubt. These cameras just simply play their magic on you and trap you in! These are my favorites for a reason!!
