Also in the box is a very useful soft carry case to protect your camcorder from scratches, but without adding too much bulk to the unit.

With many of the features of a regular camcorder – 2 inch LCD screen, power saver options, automatic exposure control, automatic black / white balance and multiple output file types – the Flip UltraHD camcorder weights an incredible 6 ozs – significantly less than standard style camcorders. It is also extremely small, and would be able to fit into your pocket or small handbag.

The UltraHD is the mid-range offering in the Flip camcorder line-up. It generally retails for around $150, around $25 more than the Ultra model (which does not record in high-definition), and around $10 less than the smaller, more lightweight MinoHD model. This is certainly a camcorder to consider if you are looking to capture candid moments that could happen at any time. The low cost means you would not have to worry about taking it on a night out, and the capacity to also take still images, means it could replace your standard digital camera.
