   I received this item today, luckily I bought it for $1.93 or so, and still have my prime trial. This thing is junk, to put it mildly. It’s not even the size of a bic pen. It’s not flexible enough to grip around a tree branch for instance, nor would the legs be big enough to.

   I guess for $1.93 I won’t bother shipping it back, or maybe I’ll attach it to an old webcam.

   Works just fine, especially for a mere few bucks– but you end up using the table or a book just as easily, and a cheapo little bean bag would be more ideal anyway.

   I purchased the vs41 and vs55. Vs41 more flexable but vs55 stays firm on any surface. I’ve Used the Vs41 a few times and it does what its suppose to do but if you use a heavy lense the VS55 will do a job better.

   I have used this now on two trips and find it sturdy and balanced and quite flexible. The only downside is that you cannot tilt the camera at the plate, so the legs support it. To shoot downward, you have to move the legs so that front one is way extended and other two are higher, and then you must hold the camera in place so it doesn’t fall.
